Abstract

This study compares environmental impacts including carbon footprint of production of liquid epoxy resin (LER) produced from epichlorohydrin synthesed from propylene with LER produced from epichlorohydrin synthesed from glycerin. The influence of upstream and/or core processes on environmental impacts of glycerine-based LER and propylene-based LER are compared.
