Abstract

The most common cocrystallization techniques are introduced and their pros and cons are discussed. Many cocrystallization methods have been described but none of them are universally applicable. The methods can be divided into solvent-based and solvent-free methods. The choice of potential cocrystals also contributes to the effectivity of the cocrystallization screening of API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredience). Cocrystals are an appealing option in drug formulation.
