Coelectrolysis as a Tool for the Production of Valuable Chemicals
Keywords:
coelectrolysis, synthesis gas, water, CO₂Abstract
The article describes the principles of coelectrolysis, as well as selected demonstration projects focused on the production of fuels or chemicals. Current research is mostly focused on the coelectrolysis of water and carbon dioxide, from which low-emission hydrocarbons can be produced. It is also possible to produce nitrogen fertilizers from water and nitrogen by means of coelectrolysis.
